Pro facial at home

I thought I’d share some at-home skincare tips with you ladies to help keep your skin healthy and glowing during quarantine or until you can come in for a professional facial. Enjoy! This 6 step at-home skincare routine includes exfoliation (Step 3) and mask. (step 4) These two steps should only be done once or twice a week.

Step #1 WASH YOUR FACE:

Pick your favorite cleanser and dampen your face at the sink. If your cleanser lathers, like our Skin Fitness Deep pore cleanser for normal/combination skin, dispense about a nickel-size into the palm of your hand and lather it lightly. Massage the cleanser into your skin for 90 seconds, taking it down your neck about a third of the way to reduce dripping. If you wear makeup, use a damp cotton pad to wipe cleanser off and remove makeup residue. Finally, rinse with water at the sink, and pat dry with a hand towel.

Step #2 TONE:

Take a cotton ball or cotton pad lightly soaked in a hydrating toner to balance the pH of your skin and prepare it for optimal absorption of products. Sweep the cotton ball all over the face and neck, and then pat the product into the skin with your fingertips. You can also spritz your favorite hydrating & soothing toner directly to skin.

Step #3 EXFOLIATE:

Use a gentle facial scrub 1-2 times per week to remove dead skin cells and reveal fresh new skin.

Dispense a nickel-size amount of product onto your fingertips, rub your fingers lightly together to distribute onto both hands, and then massage the exfoliant into the skin for two minutes, taking it down the neck about a third of the way to make clean up easier. Use gentle, circular motions, starting at the forehead and working your way down the face and neck. Rinse at the sink using hands or a disposable facial sponge to assist in removal of product.

Step #4 MASK:

If you’re using a mineral clay or cream mask, apply to one half of your face at a time, beginning at the forehead and working your way down to the neck. This application technique will ensure more even coverage of your mask.

If you’re applying a sheet or Hydrojelly mask follow the instructions on the back of the packet. You can also DM or email me with any questions. : )

Step #5 SERUM:

Serums are an essential part of your skin care regimen – they offer therapeutic ingredients, advanced actives in pure and concentrated formulas. These concentrates are designed to deeply hydrate, repair sun-damage, strengthen skin, boost collagen production, control acne breakouts and heal blemished skin.

Apply a few drops of any serum suited to your specific skincare needs all over the face and neck with light, sweeping motions. Pat the product into the skin with your fingertips until it is completely absorbed. Some of our favorite serums include Vitamin C 20%, Hyaluronic, Retinolic serum and Pure Oxygen. You can shop our Skin Fitness serums online

Step #6 MOISTURIZE:

Hydrated skin equals healthy skin. Moisturizers help balance and restore skin by locking in moisture and protecting it from environmental toxins. Most of our lotions multi-task as both day and night moisturizers so you can keep your skincare routine simple!

Apply a dime size amount of a balancing or nourishing cream all over the face and neck with gentle, circular motions. That’s it. Enjoy beautiful healthy skin!

Here are some of our favorite moisturizers from our skincare collections: Balancing lotion best for combination oily skin. Red Wine Blueberry age-defying cream  best for normal, dry and mature skin.

Hope these beauty tips help to enhance your skincare routine!

Stay safe, y’all!
